News on senior training and fixtures.

The ECB have made it clear their intention to support a return to cricket for the recreational game in July. Senior training resumes on Tuesday 30th June from 6pm to 8pm for first and second team players and Thursday 2nd July from 6pm to 8pm for third and fourth team players. All these sessions will be led by the clubs Head Coach Asher Hart. Numbers are restricted as per government/ECB guidelines meaning that numbers will be limited to 11 players plus Asher. This being the case players should contact their captain to register their interest in training. The captains will then inform the Senior Cricket Group who will use an online booking system to book players in for each and every session.
Before players can book in via their captain for training sessions they must have paid their 2020 membership subscription, which for senior players is now, for this year only, at a reduced rate.
The Club have been making plans to arrange fixtures for all FOUR of our senior teams. At the time of writing these fixtures are likely to be a mix of matches between Penrith CC players; matches arranged by the Palace Shield and Eden Valley league as well as friendlies. We aim to have matches on a variety of days - Saturday’s, Sunday’s and Friday nights and potentially mid-week. All fixtures will be subject to the advice and guidance from the government and ECB.
Players can only be considered for training sessions and selection if they have paid their subs.
The Clubs Management Committee are mindful of the fact that:
• Subs were due on January 1st
• PCC is a members Club
• The length of this season has been significantly reduced
• The Club during lockdown has had no income, but has still had considerable costs.
• The Club also recognises that some players have also had their incomes affected.

Senior Player subs for this “reduced 2020 season” will be £40 (as opposed to the normal £55)

We would encourage any player that is not in a position to pay their subs in full to contact the Clubs Membership Secretary Helen Hall for a discussion in confidence.
As normal the Clubs Selection Committee will select teams for our four senior teams.
Only players that have paid their subs will be considered by the Selection Committee.

Any player that has paid the full £55 is entitled to a £15 refund. If you would like to receive a refund please contact Helen on the email below.

You can now pay your senior player subs (and take advantage of the discounted bar prices) online. We have set up a quick and easy secure payment option via the clubs website.
