Vice Chairman Bernie Winter completes 100 laps of Tynefield Park.

Saturday was a huge day for the Club as we were able to re-open for the first time in over 100 days. During this time the clubs day to day income has been limited to monies raised via our weekly letter lottery.
Bernie came up with the idea of a fundraiser to help support the Club and the NHS.
Having never reached the magical three figures during his cricket career, Bernie’s challenge was to walk 100 laps of Tynefield Park, which works out at 27 miles!
The challenge began 7am start supported by various club officials and members. Fittingly the walk started and finished by “Dick’s tree” which was planted in memory of Bernie’s Dad, Dick Winter.
Bernie completed his challenge at 4.30 with his son Jack.
There is still the opportunity to donate via the clubs website, by clicking on the link below.

Thank you to everyone that has already donated, to all the walkers that supported Bernie on every one of his 100 laps and most of all to Bernie for completing his target of 100 laps of Tynefield Park!
