Junior Training

Junior Training

We pride ourselves on developing young cricketers in our local community.
We have, for well over 20 years, offered opportunities for boys and girls to learn the skills of the game, from an introduction to the basics of the game aged 5, right up to our under 15 team.
Initially all cricket is softball cricket and sessions focus on the basics of batting, bowling and fielding in a safe and fun environment.
We run competitive teams that play in the Cumbria Junior Cricket League at under 11, under 13 and under 15 levels.
Countless numbers of our boys and girls have gone on to represent Cumbria at junior age groups.
Three of our recent crop of players have gone right through our junior system, our senior teams and then on to 1st Class Cricket. We are immensely proud of the achievements of Asher Hart (Hampshire), Liam Trevaskis (Durham) and Jack White (Northamptonshire)
Who knows who will be the next Penrith junior to paly 1st class cricket or even play for England!

We also run four senior teams and we encourage the older players to progress into senior cricket.
